With the Cunnamulla Fella Festival in outback Queensland – cowboys, bull riders, shearers and stockmen all converge on the famous town of Cunnamulla in country Queensland for one of the most diverse events in the state. There are plenty of things to do with a jam-packed program of entertainment with country music, live entertainment and a carnival atmosphere. The Cunnamulla Fella Statue takes pride of place, sitting on his pedestal overlooking the rose lined streets and overseeing the activities of the town. This festival is a celebration of the region’s proud pastoral heritage, including horses and bull riding, a demonstration of bushman skills, live country music and a carnival atmosphere that provides all the ingredients for a great outback event. The week-ends program is presented and sponsored by the Paroo Shire Council with the Cunnamulla Fella Challenge – a bush “Iron Man” competition – a test of strength, bush cunning and survival skills, Friday Rodeo and Entertainment, the PBR Bull Ride as well as Fireworks and Live Music. This Festival is a cultural feast for the whole family and presents great family value for two days and three nights of bush entertainment at its best. | |
